A Little History
One year out of college with a dream of owning my own pizzeria, I established Pisa Pizza on Highland Ave in Malden in the winter of 1993. On that cold February day with $300 left in my pocket and only one employee ( John Serino), we began to build what is considered today to be one of the finest pizzerias in the Boston area.
From day one, my goals were simple. Every pizza needed to be made with the freshest ingredients and to that particular customer's satisfaction. I bought only the finest cheese, flour, tomatoes, and produce. I hired only friendly, hard working people who shared my love for pizza and the customers. We worked extremely hard in those early days to build relationships with our customers, our neighborhood, and the community that accepted us as their own.
Our focus became our motto - "We are only as good as our last Pizza". Today, men and women bring their own kids in to show them pictures of Mom and Dad from back in the early 90's. A lot has changed since 1993, and a lot has remained the same. People want a place to go where they can expect value for their money. Everyone wants to go places where "everyone knows your name".
Most important, people today still love a great pizza pie. Pisa Pizza moved to 133 Pearl St. in 2002 and remodeled again in 2009. Although we have grown and look different from those early days of 1993, we are still the areas finest family pizzeria. Our dedication to great pizza, outstanding customer loyalty, and community involvement is unmatched from any other area pizzeria. I invite you to come in and meet our staff.
Try our huge selection of specialty pizzas. Most importantly, ask for me by name and let me know how we are doing. I value every customer and opportunity to impress with our delicious food. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your family.
